In a recent business interaction myself and the other gentlemen really set down and solidified what transparency is and how it impacts and influences relationships. Based on my interactions transparency is typically thought of as being a scientific term that refers to something transparent, especially a picture, design, or the like on glass or some translucent substance, made visible by light shining through from behind however this term has relevance in the realm of communication and interpersonal interactions. In fact the concept of transparency is a vital element in creating and forming effective networks, designing fluently operating businesses, conducting business partners or consultants, engaging in intimate relationships and casual relationships, and various other capacities. What makes this term so critical in the context of business, and conducting business is that without it much of the poignancy regarding business structure, expectations, and roles is lost. In order to function effectively in any business capacity the expectations of the actors must be clear and unequivocal. Furthermore the goal and mission must be explicitly stated and understood by each actor. An adage that I use to reinforce the concept of transparency is ambiguity causes chaos and commotion, while transparency leads to harmonious relations. Transparency is that gray area that is very unclear and uncertain in terms of what direction you and the other participant are traveling in, it is imperative that you shift your relations, business or casual to a side that has definitive shape,expectation, and goal or else you will become victim to that gloomy and dreary gray zone.
